The vision of the Greater New Orleans Breastfeeding Coalition is that all mothers, children and families in Greater New Orleans area would have the opportunity to receive the benefits of breastfeeding.
Our Mission
The mission of the Greater New Orleans Breastfeeding Coalition is to increase awareness of the benefits of and support for breastfeeding among persons of influence* in the lives of mothers, children and families in Louisiana, and to partner with other organizations in creating a community where breastfeeding is the norm.

"Many barriers exist for mothers who want to breastfeed," Dr. Benjamin said. "They shouldn't have to go it alone. Whether you're a clinician, a family member, a friend, or an employer, you can play an important part in helping mothers who want to breastfeed."
