Vision

All mothers, children and families in the Greater New Orleans area will have the opportunity to receive education and information about the benefits of breastfeeding.

Mission

GNOBAC’s mission is to increase awareness of the benefits of and support for breastfeeding in the lives of mothers, children and families in Louisiana, and to partner with other organizations in creating a community that values the support and promotion of breastfeeding as the standard for optimal infant health and development.

History

•GNOBAC was created initially in July 2007
•GNOBAC was officially deemed as a 501(c)3 organization in 2009.
•GNOBAC is comprised of local Health Care Providers, Lactation Consultants, Faculty and Public Health Professionals from area hospitals, universities and state health offices.
